The Southern Poverty Law Center paid a source who organized and stoked tensions at the August 2017 tiki-torch rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, the federal government alleged this week.

The superseding indictment, returned by an Alabama grand jury and docketed Wednesday, is the latest release in the case against the nonprofit the Department of Justice first announced in April.
